Today is International Women’s Day and, as this year’s theme is “Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow” alongside a call for climate action by women, we couldn’t let it pass without highlighting the women in our company who are battling for a sustainable future with energy saving water technologies.
UN data recognises that women and girls experience the greatest impacts of the climate crisis yet bear a disproportionate responsibility for securing fuel, food and water. This is why women are so important in the drive to find solutions to the world’s climate issues.
This year the Action Coalition for Feminist Action for Climate Justice is helping to lead global climate action with a focus on addressing the balance between male and female leadership in the green economy.
Here at Halcyan Water Conditioners, we’re incredibly proud of our female team, including CEO Samantha Mant and Marketeer Paris Cains.
Sam is leading the development of the UK’s sustainable hard water solution into the domestic, commercial and industrial markets in the UK and abroad. Its powerful results for customers, coupled with its positive impact for the environment through creating significant energy savings, and sustainable nature of its installation makes this the ideal product to transform the hard water treatment industry.
Paris is Halcyan’s expert marketeer, educating the public in the profound impact that treating hard water can have on a home or business’ carbon emissions. Paris is key to spreading the message that fuel poverty can be mitigated, energy efficiency can be increased and the lifespan of water-bearing devices can be extended – all by fitting a simple, sustainable device to a domestic or commercial water supply.
Join us in celebrating both International Women’s Day, and the women in our business who are taking climate action through their work, and share their message:
“The effect of limescale on energy efficiency is wildly understated. 15m UK homes are supplied with hard water and research shows that the average household can save 0.5 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year and hundreds of pounds on energy bills just through the installation of a Halcyan Water Conditioner. Imagine the impact on the escalating climate emergency if each home and business in these areas treated their water with a sustainable solution – and then imagine the impact on the world if this message was shared beyond our borders.”
