NSBRC – Sustainable Homes: New Build & Retrofit
Whether your motivation is saving the environment or saving money, NSBRC’s programme of Eco Workshops should have the answers you’re looking for!
NSBRC runs five Eco Workshops every year and each session focuses on an aspect of energy-efficient homebuilding. Industry experts will be on hand to discuss green ideas and designs to help guide you through whatever plans you have for your home.
We’re excited to announce that our very own CEO, Samantha Mant, will be giving the first talk on the Retrofit Stage at 10:30am, immediately after David Hilton’s welcome introduction. Samantha will be discussing how treating the hard water with a Halcyan Water Conditioner can contribute to substantial savings in energy usage in the home – David Hilton even has one in his own home and you can’t get a better endorsement than that! You can see what David has to say about his experience here.
Sustainable Homes: New Build & Retrofit
Saturday 11th November (10:00 – 16:30) at The National Self Build & Renovation Centre
This workshop covers one of the most important eco issues today: What practical measures can be taken with existing buildings to make them more sustainable and energy efficient?
With housing contributing 22% of the UK’s carbon emissions, it is essential that we find ways to reduce this impact if we are to meet our future carbon targets. Our experts will explain the options available on everything from achieving air tightness, insulation requirements, and design considerations, to ventilation issues and how to choose between the array of heating technologies that are on the market.
This workshop will take place across two theatres – providing tailored advice to both existing homeowners and those with new build projects.
