Well, moving into our first house was like it kinda felt like it was normal. It's like Apart from It was actually really well kept. Like the chef that lived there before kept it immaculate, and it was really good, but it was all exactly as it was when it was first ball. When we first came, I was like, no. Well, she showed me pictures of it, and it looked really, really narrow, and it's not very attractive at all and I was like, I don't even wanna go and sit. And then the day we got the keys, we showed our parents and gave everybody the grand tour of our two bed house. And everyone's like, oh, what's the plan? And the only thing that you could say was, take that wall down and rip everything out and start all over again. I didn't see you for six months, basically. No. It was, hello, good morning, good night, that was it. We had to make sure that we made the most of all the spaces because it's not a massive house inside the bathroom. We completely turned around so that it would make more sense. You felt like you had more room when you walked in there because it wasn't particularly big bathroom, but the layout now makes it feel like it's got more space. I'm taking you up to the bathroom, which, as you can see about the rest of the house, we renovated alongside all of it as yeah. We it was basically a shell, and it was the bathroom that was here when the house was first built forty years ago. So we just tore the whole thing out. The bath was actually here. I think it was sink in the middle and toilet was there, and I haste it. The tap work when we first looked around the house was awful, wasn't it? Like, all the fixtures in the the bathroom downstairs is just full of limescale and it just looked properly grotty. We spent a lot of money renovating the house and one of the things that we were really keen to do is protect all the fixtures and the fittings within the house. Well, we looked at lots of different types of ways of helping lime scale, but, like, it was even you can drink from the taps. It takes up a lot of space, or they don't last very long. And I now spending all the time I have done renovating it, I now don't want to do any more renovation, I don't wanna be taking apart pipework. No. We also didn't want something that relied on us, and so that with any ongoing maintenance, because as people who run our own business, we have enough to do day to day, don't have to think about ordering salt and refilling it, and it probably be one of those things that end up would end up not happening. Another chore, isn't it? It's like putting the pins out. You don't wanna be thinking about have you run out of salt, yeah? So, yeah, when we when we came across Halcyon, it was a no brainer. We're like Yeah. Really that that's it? You fit and you forget it and never notice it. It's it's a lot of value for money because you don't have to think about it. The units that we have upstairs because they're, well, they brushed nickel. Cause they're brushed nickel, it probably all show up. And when they sort of mention it, it goes, yeah, I know why they still look good. Yeah. So the the problem that we're fixing was aesthetics. Yeah. But actually, it helped prevent lots of other problems that we didn't actually realize would even be a problem. Yeah. Pretty much every sort of first point of contact we walk into the house is usually affected by housing. We don't even think about it because it is like dishwasher's on, washing machine is emptying, that's all gonna be safe and good. Shower's all nice and clean, taps are all clean. It just, yeah, just makes life a little bit easier. Yeah. It's really satisfying as well, isn't it? When we go to other people's houses or if you're out and about at restaurants and you can see in their limescale and like You're a bit smug. Yeah. Enjoying the fact that I still wanna do. People comment on it as well, don't they? Like, when they come over Yeah. They're like, wow, your your bathroom's spotless or your taps are spotless and they just seem really surprised. We're like, yes. Now we know that it works so well here, we're gonna pull it in into our rental property as well.
