What You Need to Know About Women Installers Together
For the eighth year, Stopcocks Women Plumbers is organising the Women Installers Together (WIT) conference!
This annual event is a must-visit for all UK-based tradeswomen, with many travelling all the way from Scotland to London to mark this special occasion. Recent studies have shown that 22% of women are interested in working in trade, and this conference opens a lot of doors for women both already pursuing this career and those who are interested but want more information or guidance.
What to Expect
If you’ve never joined one of the WIT conferences, you’re in for a treat. Once a year, tradeswomen gather together to network and overcome one of the biggest challenges women in the trades industry face: isolation.
This year’s theme is “Looking After Ourselves”, and ticket-holders can expect a variety of activities and talks, including:
- Special guest speaker Konnie Huq, presenter of multiple TV programmes.
- A keynote speech by WIT founder, Hattie Hansen.
- Roundtable discussions by women in trade.
- A raffle to finish it all off!
Learn More About Halcyan at WIT
As a company with a female CEO, Halcyan champions and empowers women in trade, which is why we’re so excited to be attending this exhibition.
We’ve seen firsthand what women in trade can achieve, and we’re eager to get involved by meeting fellow tradeswomen. We’re especially excited to talk to plumbers and homeowners who might benefit from our unique solution to hard water, which helps prevent limescale.
Through this event, we hope to learn from other women while simultaneously sharing our story.
Why Halcyan?
Our water conditioners result in gentler water, without the need for salt or maintenance like traditional salt-based softeners. Instead, our small but mighty units are entirely fit-and-forget, and last more than 30 years without maintenance.
Benefits include:
- Improved appliance efficiency: Thanks to the reduction in limescale, our water conditioners help your appliances run more efficiently.
- Lower energy bills: Increased appliance efficiency = less energy consumption. Better for the planet and your wallet.
- Gentler water: Say goodbye to brittle hair and dry skin caused by hard water.
The Final Details
Hopefully, we’ve convinced you to attend, but just in case we haven’t … did we mention that tickets are FREE for tradeswomen and trainees? This is all thanks to the amazing event sponsors.
And if you’re an ally or interested party, you can get your tickets for only £60 at https://stopcocks.uk/conference.
The event will take place on the 4th of July at the Great Hall at London Met University. We highly encourage you to attend this, whether you want to meet new women in trade, gain inspiration from others’ stories, or you’re simply interested in learning more about this amazing group of people!
We hope to see you there!
